VILLAGE ADMINISTRAION
The Fon is the supreme head of the village, and under his administration are the various quarters headed by quarter heads. In the main four quarters of the village, there are some small quarters with small quarter heads answerable to the big quarter heads, while the big four quarter heads are answerable directly to the Fon. They are in charge of civil matters such as land disputes and other villagers' disputes. They are the eyes of the Fon in their respective quarters. Anything beyond their jurisdiction is referred to the traditional council of the village. When it reaches the traditional council, they consult with the Fon before reaching the final judgment.
When the Fon is out on official ceremonies, his belongings such as his bag, chair, cloth, and security are ensured by the servants "Chinda". While in a ceremony, he sits with his quarter heads and the Gwans. Village elites in modern-day administration have their own place apart, but the Fon is accompanied by his servants, quarter heads, and Gwans. The quarter head is recognized by the administration of the country, which is why there's a flag in their compound. They are the mini-Fons of their community because they have their cabinet where they manage civil matters.
